A proud native of Houma and 2008 alumn of Vandebilt Catholic High School, Gary Williams Jr. has practiced law in the state of Louisiana since 2015, boasting six years as an Assistant District Attorney and serving at his self-titled firm, the Law Office of Gary Williams Jr., before joining the Waitz & Downer team. 

After earning a business management degree from Louisiana State Unversity, Gary went on to receive his law degree from Southern University Law School. 

Throughout his career, he has garnered experience in personal injury cases, wills, successions, contracts, and business litigations, in addition to the prosecution of serious felonies. 

He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the National Black Prosecutors Association, as well as incoming president of the Terrebonne Parish Bar Association.

Along with his legal practice, Gary has been happily active in the Terrebonne community, serving as Attorney for the Terrebonne Board of Adjustment, a member of the Rotary Club of Houma-Terrebonne, a Board Member for Vandebilt Catholic High School Consultive Board.

Outside of his law career, Gary is a proud husband and father.
